I know that this problem has been on the forums before but none of the suggestions have fixed my problem. My TV show library is providing the wrong names for the correct (in season order) episodes. This is happening to two of my shows (Batman: the animated series & Firefly). The files itself will be labeled such as this… “Batman Animated Series - S01e01 - On Leather Wings” but when it is added to plex their match changes the title to “The Cat & the Claw (Part 1)” even though when you select the episode it still plays On leather Wings which is the correct one it should be playing. I have double checked my list and verified that I have no duplicates and the labels are correct.
That’s because Plex uses TheTVDB to fetch metadata for tv series.
And TheTVDB lists the order of episodes as they were originally aired. Even if that is horribly wrong, like it was with Firefly.

Edit the Firefly series at its top level.
Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab
set the ‘Episode ordering’ to ‘DVD order’
‘Refresh Metadata’ on the whole series
