TV shows scheduled to record only partially record

More often that not (90% - 95% of the time) TV shows I have scheduled to record only record the first 45 seconds or so then apparently just abort the recording. When I go to watch a recorded TV show expecting it to be there in its entirety it isn’t there. Very frustrating.

Any suggestions? It DOES work some of the time, but not the majority of the time. (I have recording scheduled to start 1 min. before the show, this shouldn’t have any effect on the show I’m trying to record)

Using HD HomeRun extend and Sierra 10.12.6 on my Mac with a 1.12 TB Fusion drive with about 75% free space, ATV4.

Have you checked the Plex media Server logs around the time of a failed recording to see if a reason is shown?

I have the exact same issue - almost all recordings are cut short (like 7 minutes of a 1 hour show) I am not doing commercial removal. To see if this was a Plex issue or HDHomeRun issue - I switched to using Silicon Dust’s DVR - and it has not missed a single show or cut a show short. So, this definitely points to an issue with Plex. I upgraded to the lifetime version of Plex a couple of weeks ago to get the live TV/DVR features - and have been really happy with all features, except this issue has been extremely frustrating!
