Movies work fine, when i load up a tv show with multiple seasons there is no choice as to what to play, just a play button, but hitting play just shows a loading icon, then hitting back just goes to a black screen, and i have to force close the application. Maybe its not supported yet or im missing something, Thanks.
I'm sorry you're experiencing issues, but TV Shows are fully supported in this first version. Just to summarise, you're able to fully navigate your TV shows but none of them are playing? If that's the case, we'd need more information about the type of media you're trying to play and what you server setup is.

Latest plex update of course. the tv shows display in the library on the xbox, when i choose the tv show i want to watch, it takes me to the next screen and the only options are play or mark as watched, there is no navigation function to choose a specific episode. Hitting play just displays a loading logo and nothing ever plays. I tried a show with only 1 season and a show with multiple seasons and get the same result, no choice as to which episode to watch. Everything is organized as a tv show and is properly sorted on the media server.

I'm slightly confused, but are you sure it's not an actual "Episode" you're selecting to go to the Play/Mark As Watched/ etc screen? If you want to browse your entire TV Show collection, select "Browse All" on the far left of the TV Section...
As for video not working, can you please provide the Plex Media Server log file following a failed playback attempt.

I can try to clarify..
Load plex->select tv shows->select browse on the far left->choose a tv show-> i then get a screen that shows the tv show information, and all that it displayed is a play button or mark as watched. hitting play gives me an infinite loading screen, and no activity is reported on the media server end. This is with all the tv shows i have( a mixture or avi and mkv files)
Edit- i created a new tv shows category on the media server and that seemed to fix the issue for me, the new library displays everything properly now.

Very interesting... Can you please tell me how your original TV Section is configured on your server? For example, what Scanner and Agents are you using? These are all available via Plex/Web
