Tuner Make/Model: WinTV HVR-2250
OS: Windows Server 2016
Trying to use a WinTV-HVR-2250 tuner with Plex. When I go to DVR setup in Plex, it sits and spins at “Looking for compatible devices…”.
Looking at the logs, the Plex Tuner Service fails to start:

Things I’ve tried/verified:
- Process is running as Administrator user.
- Uninstalled/reinstalled.
- Installed into non-standard directory (i.e., outside Program Files).
- Changed ownership of install directory to Administrator user. Verified user has full control of the directory/sub-directories.
- Process monitor logs don’t reveal any apparent errors.
- I verified the TV tuner is working outside of Plex. I installed WinTV 7 and verified I can watch TV. (I am aware of potential conflicts with WinTV software - this was happening before installing WinTV.)
Any ideas?
