Tv with miniseries order issues

So I am trying to watch battlestar galactic with all the miniseries and seasons in the same place in folders. How do I do this? Plex only shows me the seasons none of the specials. Or is there a way at all?

You can’t in folder view if that is what you mean. If you are in the regular view you should be able to just hit play on the show and it will make a playqueue of everything.

or you can filter library on the show view by episodes and sort by release date and play them that way

I think you need to put the specials in a folder called specials and possibly even name them according to the TV DB. It seems like I had to do that and they show up in a season called “Specials” now

It’s not great but BSG just seems to be one of those shows that makes it difficult with the way the TVDB does things. Hopefully this helps

If you are using the beta TV agent then you need to pick the sort order for that show because different sources have the specials different.

Thanks WarriorMan, that is a good fix at least until there is a better solution. Your episode naming is interesting, the rest of the show do you have labeled s1e1 ect?

I do name most of my shows s01e01, yeah. Then I have each season in a folder of its own.

Battlestar Galactica > Season 1 > S01E01 for example. It works well for me. It took a while but I did this a long time ago too. Plex wasn’t anywhere near as good at finding the right things then lol

So that is how I do mine too, under BSG do you have 5 folders than? Season 1-4 than a ‘Specials’ with everything else? If so that is how I have mine, but how are those displayed on the plex app? I dont see them showing anywhere.

(I manually add “between season specials” at end of seasons so my episode counts aren’t normal)

check that in the list of shows that it did not make a separate show for the miniseries. if it did do a fix match and match it with the TVDB.

on TMDB it the miniseries is a separate show

@BigWheel Does the ‘Season 0’ Folder change to ‘Specials’ on plex? I have my folders labeled ‘Season 1-4’ and ‘Specials’

Yes , You can call the folder Specials or Season 0. I’ve just always called it S0

@BigWheel so I have it set that way. Is there a reason it wouldn’t show on my plex? Is there something I need to change to trigger that to happen? I’m happy to show screenshots if that helps. This is an issue I have had with several tv shows and most it doesn’t bother me but wanting to watch through bsg again and it’s making it a little more of a priority to figure out now.
