Sorry about the sidetrack; I don’t necessarily think your issue has to do with permissions, at least not the same sort of issue the other poster experienced.
Your TVDB agent logs show SSL errors in connecting to tvdb2.plex.tv. As I mentioned above, it appears to be a problem with parsing the certificate it is receiving (just based on the error message). That appears to be causing an inability to retrieve metadata for the matches it finds.
I don’t know a super-easy way to troubleshoot certificate exchange issues. If this were occurring on my own system I’d install Wireshark, capture the entire process, and then look at the certificate exchange to see what’s being sent from the server. However, in my case, everything works so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the cert tvdb2.plex.tv is sending.
Having said all that, the SSL error in the log could just be a red herring; it could be completely unrelated to the problem you’re experiencing. It’s just something I noticed, and which looks very suspicious.
