TVDB down? Not adding any metadata to TV and website is inaccessible

Server Version#: Version 1.19.3.2764

No metadata coming over from TVDB. Have been Plex dancing all evening. No dice.

Logs:
com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb.log (367.2 KB)
Plex Media Scanner.1.log (7.0 MB)
Plex Media Server.1.log (10.0 MB)

Also:
http://tvdb2.plex.tv/ says ‘Not Authorised’

I have to say, the last few months of TVDB have been pretty griefy. Wrong art work and lots of downtime makes Timmeh and sad Timmeh.

TIMMEH!

Full logs ZIP please?

Can’t diagnose from selective pieces.

Here’s the series:

Thanks for getting back so quick

Thanks.

Seems “Glastonbury” is a very popular / oft-reused title – presumably each event?

I have recreated and submitted to Engineering.

I recreated using 1994 & 2019 years

Thank you

I’ve had a thought as to why this might be occurring - during one of my plex dances it wouldn’t remove it and so I deleted it from the filesystem instead. I then emptied trash, bundles, etc…
Would this have had any effect?

I created a controlled test case and captured failure using pristine names & sequence which should not have failed.

OK, sounds like a bigger issue. Which is odd as this did work about 2/3 days ago - I had 2 test episodes which matched perfectly well (Jon Hopkins and Kylie Minogue in Season 2019). I then added the other files and none of the metadata came through for those episodes. So I did the Plex dance a few times and now no metadata comes through at all.

Meanwhile - back at the ranch.

The TVDB ID# trick does sort it out quickly:
82382 <—put that where the name goes in Search Options and delete everything else.

In case you wanna do something else with something else and stop messin’ with this one…
(that show just looks like trouble, doesn’t it?)

Cheers for that. Always a useful trick!
The agent is able to identify the series correctly, but when I click on it, it fails to pull the metadata through.
:disappointed:

I got all that was there just now - and there aren’t any episode thumbs - for S1E1 and 2, at least. It might be slim pickins.

I got a poster and some descriptions, but didn’t look very hard.

Ah OK. So this makes me think that I did something wrong during my plex dances and now need to clear ‘something’ from the database which is causing it to not find apply the metadata…

Well, if you don’t do every step, meticulously - it won’t work.

I do it often.
Can’t hurt:

There is good reason Plex put these all together.

Yeah these are the exact instructions I followed yesterday a fair few times. I’ll try again now but my hopes aren’t high :frowning:

That’s interesting. I have to go into settings > troubleshooting > clean bundles nowadays… what platform is this on?

Try that when the abuse of life makes your hands unsteady - as you try and fail time and time again to keep those dam little teenie windows open so you can reach the goal at the end of a gauntlet of wild indians (Native Americans) bashing you in the head with clubs…

Here’s a John Cleese fist shake for the developers - and a wish you one day know exactly what I’m talking about…:

Plex Server/More/ Ellipsis. Your server at top of page.

Just ask Vera, LOL

May I be of assistance?

Yeah these are the exact instructions I followed yesterday, numerous times. I’ll have another stab at it now.
I’ll move it into my ‘dance’ folder and I’ll create a TV library from that folder which will contain just that show, and see if it works.
Then, after emptying trash, and bundles, I’ll move it back to the normal TV Shows library…
Will get there eventually, just part of a process.
