Looking for some assistance please. Have gone through a lot of posts here and getting no where.
Server is running on Win10 and is stable and fully discoverable outside the network. No issues with playback on any phone I have tested (iOS and Android), but tv’s are another matter.
TV’s on the network can stream no issues. Same TV when taken outside the network (via hotspot etc) will connect to server, be able to browse server but as when selecting something to stream I get the message “Checking connection speed to xxxxx” and the buffering circle of death. nothing will play.
Hotspotted to the same phone that will play it outside the network, no streaming on tv but can peruse.
Tried changing DNS Server 1 to 1.1.1.1 (as per forum suggestions) and still wont stream when outside the network.
Unable to find anything on the forums that give any solid answers or suggestions.
Have also tried manually putting the ip address into the tv app with no luck.
All help appreciated.
