Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but my account has two “Cloud Sync” servers listed in my server list…one of which works properly and the other which is always unavailable. Anyone seen this and know how to remove the unavailable one from the server list? Since it’s a Cloud Sync server there’s no option to remove that I can see.
Go to this page when logged into Plex, then you should see both Cloud Syncs listed there, removing the unavailable one should work.
I hadn’t realized it was listed in devices. But, looking in there I only see one Cloud Sync device in there. Though…I only have a couple things in the Cloud Sync server that is working right now so I’ll just try removing the one Cloud Sync device and see if it gets rid of both.
Hmm. It got rid of one of them. But, I still have another Cloud Sync server. This one is at least available though it doesn’t have any content. Well…we’ll see what happens with that.
For reference (in case anyone else gets in this state). The way I resolved this was to remove the Cloud Sync device as @xSean suggested. Then, go to the cloud sync settings on plex’s account page (i.e., follow this: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200933616). Then go to the “Cloud Sync” section. This will show providers you have linked to cloud sync. I had to unlink all of them. At that point “Cloud Sync” went away entirely as a server option. And, then I could re-link a storage provider and re-upload content to “Cloud Sync” (after I deleted the old cloud sync directory with it’s content on the storage provider).
NOTE: This does mean everything you had uploaded to the storage provider for cloud sync prior will basically be useless. You should just delete it and re-upload. Bummer, but that’s the only solution I found. In my case it didn’t matter since I already couldn’t see the content in “Cloud Sync”.
For reference, I think I got into this state because I had played around with creating a managed account for my daughter under my account and tried syncing content to her tablet using that managed account. Since I also had content synched under my normal account things got messed up. I think that’s where the two separate cloud sync servers came into play. So…I don’t recommend doing that. In fact…I didn’t have a good experience with managed accounts at all. I’d recommend just inviting a new account by email as a friend instead.
