When watching a movie through Plex on Chromecast, how do I fix the Plex ui coming up randomly when I have subtitles turned on?
Could you provide a few more details? Which device are you casting to and from? And what subtitle format are you using?
Casting from Pixel 7a (Android version 13) to Chromecast (firmware 1.36.159268). The Plex server is on my Windows 10 pc. All devices are on the same network. The phone is on WiFi, and the computer and Chromecast are on ethernet. The Plex UI keeps randomly popping up while watching a movie, but only if subtitles are turned on.
Can you confirm which subtitle format it is? And what is the time frame for it to start appearing? I have been unable to reproduce it so far.
Subtitle format: SRT
Move file format: MP4
- Length: 2:20:05
- Width: 1920
- Height: 800
Times (approx.) when UI popped up: 6:27, 7:22, 7:29, 7:36, 7:37, 7:43, 7:57 ← At this point, I turned subtitles off. The UI stopped popping up after doing so.
The SRT file is a separate file in the same folder as the movie file (not in a subfolder).
And its still happening? I have been unable to reproduce it. Will try again though.
