UK Channel Issues - 19 DAVE / 25 YESTDAY and other EPG issues

The way this works is that it looks at each schedule airing and to see if it is in HD or not
If it is then that channel gets included in that view as well

BBC1 SD is listed for example.

I can see that. I will look into it. In theory should only be the case if there is an airing with HD resolution from that channel

Thanks,
I have deleted the DVR then re added it back, as far as i can tell ITV looks good now and showing correct regional data
However BBC1 is still showing London News

I should be seeing Look North for BBC1 local news (there are 2 Look North shows, I need the North East version, Not the Yorkshire version)

Lineup is
Freeview OTA Tyne Tees Lineup

Appears to be a Plex Web issue. It has been referred to the team

I have the same - same area also.

Brill thanks. I can list all my channels that I have wrongly listed if that helps?

I found another problem some airings are not flagged as new so the DVR won’t record them. How can we fix this?

Please use the form and you can also add the information here as an extra means (the form is the official way though).

Done. I think most of my EPG issues have been sorted now. Certain channels like 7 - Tyne and Wear TV just show “Made in Tyne and Wear Programming” (the channel is now known just as Tyne and Wear TV).

I’ve still got a problem with new episodes not being scheduled to record as they are flagged as old ones (example is GPs: Behind Closed Doors on Wednesday on 105 - 5 HD. It shows Episode 36 airing but it will be Episode 38 which is new). I have reported this now.

cool.

In the meantime, you can change your recordings to “new and repeat” to ensure your catch everything - you can always delete the repeats later.

@elan its been 6 days, but you haven’t answered these basic questions.

meanwhile I notice the new players have come out which (according to the blurb)

Plex is also a powerful OTA DVR option for many cord cutters.

awesome.

If you spot any new anomalies like that., will have a look.
Many shows on channel 5 had the episode sequencing corrected on the 10th August which would feed through within 48 hours - but would need a full manual EPG refresh to pick up changes beyond the next 24 hours or so

I tried adding the DVR again and still had the issue. BBC’s Panaroma isn’t being flagged as new either. :frowning:

The BBC episodes “New” indicator problem is already reported and listed as in progress
Coronation street and emmerdale on ITV has also been referred

Let me know channel, episode, time where it is not being set as New - or if the episode/season number wrong giving me details of what the error is and i will follow it up

I don’t have any others at present. But thanks for letting me know it’s getting looked at

Any of you guys having issues with movies dropping off around the 60 minute mark?

I’m guessing the epg is reporting the movie finishing at the end of a 60 minute time block.

Wife is going nuts as she had a bunch of movies with no ending.

Check the guide to see if it has an ‘entertainment news’ or similar in the middle of the movie
If so it’s a known issue and i been looked at, it records the first part correctly, but then thinks the second part is a duplicate so ignores it

A workaround at the moment is go into the advanced options of the scheduled recording and set the Minutes After to something that will cover both parts
so if you have
Movie - 60 mins
Entertainment news - 5 mins
Rest of Movie - 60 mins
Set the Minutes After to 70 or 80 mins to cover it all

@Elan It’s been more than 2 weeks since I asked these questions. An answer would be appreciated.

Thanks,
James.

@JCHH A lot of work is going on in the background to check and correct episode sequencing and the New/Premiere indicator.

The issue with getting generic program info for Saturday 24th onwards for a number of channels which was noticed and reported on the 20th August, was an operational error with the fix feeding through and becoming available on the 21st August - New Plex Guide Very Poor in UK
