This is for @sa2000, @ChuckPa, @sixones and other Plex helpers and Devs. .
Why aren’t we as payed Plex pass users, especially lifetime ones like myself, bring left with broken EPG’s like the one I’ve been using for Freeview until last night when it lost 3 of the main TV channels that my son and his sister’s watch between 2 houses and while out on the bus using my Android Smartphone?
Before you all ask, yes I’ve sent the request in for channels to be added so many times via the website that we were given the link to, I’ve lost joint how many times I’ve used it!
Why are we paying out have paid for access to a sub par system, that seems to have been broken from the get go? Developers may think don’t web shows the very expensive tidal will help ease the burden of how broken the live tv EPG really is, but I’m not one for paying for Tidal, I’m one that yes, uses Plex for what it was originally created for, that’s streaming home media, which the live TV actually comes under, and another thing, before someone actually says we don’t pay for it, yup live TV don’t work unless you have a Plex pass.
Can we as lex users get some form of promise, especially here in the UK, that the EPG system from Gracenote will be fixed Asap? If it’s Gracenote that’s the issue, why not use some other EPG provider, that is more worth the money and effort to keep users from leaving what seems to be a sinking ship?
No need to ask for logs from me, as the issue isn’t going to be fixed by looking through logs, it’s a Gracenote/Plex live TV issue that hasn’t been fixed since day one, the inconsistency of the onconnect system is poor, we need answers to what is going on with it, and we need it fixed.
