Unable to load channel mappings error under Live TV & DVR channels link

Server Version#: 1.15.6.1079

When clicking on “Live TV & DVR” and then going to the enabled channels link, I get the error “Unable to load channel mappings”, so I am unable to enable/disable channels…

The server does seem to “see” the tuner, issue commands, and record TV…but the channel mappings link only shows the “Unable to load channel mappings” error.

I’ve tried restarting both the tuner and the server to no effect.
The tuner can be pinged, and I can access it’s menu system directly via it’s IP address. The tuner’s IP address is permanently assigned from my DHCP server, so it never changes. The tuner itself seems enabled and working well, showing enabled via it’s web browser accessed menu system.

The tuner is a HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO, Model: HDHR5-4US, Firmware version 20190417

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Same here … started with 1.15.6.1079

Roll back to 1.15.4.994Preformatted text.

Edit, well scratch that, something else is going on. Can’t retrieve the guide data.

Same. I posted about it here: EPG data unavailable for zip 35007 and surrounding (Birmingham, AL mkt) since approx 2 PM CDT on Sat May 18th

Just upgraded to PLEX PASS and attempted to configure the Live DVR (the main feature desired) using my Hauppauge Quad card. After I provide my zip code and the install appears to locate my best channel content, I select “Over The Air” from the list it begins to load “channel mappings” and fails - time after time……. some times quickly, some times after a minute or two. I have attempted this from scratch around 15-20 times taking 30-40 minutes each failed attempt. I have a fairly fast fiber connection but is this possibly a time out problem getting the over the air content?

Me too. Unable to refresh TV guide (uk). Trying to set recordings but guide says “to be announced” for all channels.

Looks like a SNAFU. As no weekend response from PLEX, maybe the fix needs a s/w update rather than some sort of operational systems intervention? If so we’ll probably have to wait until Monday (at the very earliest).

I’m having this issue as well, on pc server and nvidia shield server

This seems to be a problem related to Gracenote. Others are having similar issues and are not getting any response from Plex (which is the norm.). The status page for plex services doesn’t report any outage for Gracenote, but when there are issues you can’t update TV listings or add/change dvr setups.

Well documented as starting yesterday afternoon. Issues with gracenote suspected

It’s now working. I was experiencing the same issue and was just able to initiate my DVR.

@sa2000, @ChuckPa or @sixones,
I’m experiencing this issue, Have been having issues with the EPG for a couple of days since losing the TinyPop and other channels from the Freeview UK EPG, now it’s saying unable to load channel mappings.
Is there a issue with Grapenote… Sorry I meant to say Gracenote? If so, then this should be the moment Plex should re-look at changing where they get EPG from, or issue instructions on how to add our own XML TV guides for all OS’s for those who aren’t Tech Savvy.
As I’ve said in previous threads and getting ignored is a common sign for me now, I am getting fed up with Live TV to the point of no return and dropping Plex altogether.

Please HELP!!

Dave

Logs please with debug logging enabled
is the Guide Refresh failing? Or is it DVR setup?
You can PM me the zip code/territory

Hi @sa2000,
It’s just now coming up with unable to map channels, I’m getting frustrated! I’m not one for hiding my post code is CF39 and I’m on the Wenvoe Transmitter.
The mapping issue only begun after updating to the latest version of PMS.
If you still need logs, I’ll send them when I get home.

Dave

Yes I am afraid I do

I need to see the exact error code and what was being done before - so logs are always needed to start an investigation

@sa2000 Here’s my lo higs as requested, not sure if you can make sense of them? It’s crazy as everything else works great…

Dave

Error is
“Error communicating with provider.” uploaded the logs while on Public Transport!! Remote is working to!!
Plex Media Server Logs_2019-06-06_16-50-52.zip (2.2 MB)

Thanks for the log. Appears to be related to the EPG refresh issue that has been reported today by a couple of users.

A change has just been made to rectify the problem

Please try again - if for some reason issue continues, please let me have fresh logs and time of the error

When was the fix applied? I am having this issue. I need to look up the EPG issue too since my guide is also not refreshing.

There was a caching related issue which was circumvented a few minutes before the time of my post above Unable to load channel mappings error under Live TV & DVR channels link - #18 by sa2000
