UK Guide Refresh seems to be failing overnight. Anyone else had the same issue? Bombs at 2%.
What an absolute mess. I’m unable to map the majority of channels and my guide is full of “Unknown Airing”.
This is what I get when trying to refresh the guide:
[Req#452f7] EPG: received HTTP response of 502 from request to https://epg.provider.plex.tv/grid/bulk?channelGridKey=5fc70602a2236e002d69f980&endDate=2024-08-17&startDate=2024-08-11&X-Plex-Language=en&X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As well as the guide not updating in the UK I’m missing DVBT/2 Chanel information in the guide for:
Bbc 2
Bbc 2 hd
Channel 4
Channel 4 hd
Channel 4+1
Channel 5
Channel 5 hd
Bbc 3
Bbc 3 hd
Bbc 4 hd
Itv 1+1
Quest red
Great! Action
Great! TV+1
Itv 4+1
True crime
True crime extra
U&Yesterday+1 (Freeview)
Together TV +1
Bbc Parliament
Adult section
Bbc radio 2
Bbc radio 3
Bbc radio 4 fm
And a handful of other less important channels.
This has made my freeview capability virtually unusable. An acknowledgment or some kind of confirmation from Plex that this is at least being looked at would be very welcome.
The Plex Pass product is currently not fit for purpose.
@BigWheel are you aware of this? Multiple users with the same issue.
@andyev26 can you tell me the postal code in the UK you are at.
I’m in GU47.
@andyev26 sorry i forgot to ask what lineup are you using. is it like FreeView OTA, Local Broadcast Listing OTA, Sky Q satellite, etc
Freeview OTA
@andyev26 Do you get any results when gong to this URL which is the raw EPG for the channel “Channel 4” ?
( not sure what time it is there. you may need to change the date in it to 2024-08-13)
Yes I do. Sorry, edited my last post as I note you said it is only C4.
I split this off into a separate topic. Hoping I got all of you in the UK.
Since you can see that EPG would like to get your server logs after the egp refresh fails so I can make report. I’m not sure at this time if there is a problem with the EPG itself or a problem with your servers ingesting it.
Plex Media Server.log (4.6 MB)
Is this sufficient? From an attempt just now. Uploaded the full log just in case.

Thanks for looking into this btw.
Forgive me if I’ve misunderstood but if I click on that link I get a blank page.
If you are suggesting that I should enter that in Plex somewhere then I’m unable to check or provide logs until tomorrow.
@Malcolm_Powder that is a raw xml file and for some browsers like Safari I don’t believe it will appear unless you change some developer settings which cannot at this time remember where they are in Safari
Are you also using Freeview OTA?
Ahh ok. Thanks for the clarification. I tried chrome on my phone and had the same result.
I am indeed; Freeview over the air.
Hiya - have got exactly the same problem here. Guide for all channels does not appear (all are unknown airing)
Freeview OTA
Postcode: WV3
If you can look into this, would be appreciated!
here are my plex logs if they are any use (just after an attempted refresh). For me, it doesn’t get past initialising.

thanks @crustyburger for the logs. it does confirm you are experiencing the same thing. Our EPG team and devops team are looking into it.
