Hi. I’m new here and wanted to flag up some issues I’m seeing with the UK TV (Freeview) guide. I know there is an existing topic that’s been in play for some time but has over 1100 posts, so it’s hard to know what issues still exist (part from the time to read it all).
Feel free to shoot this down, but I thought I’d give it a shot.
The main issues I’m seeing as a new user are:
The ‘Five’ channels are just completely wrong - its like they’ve got a schedule from completely the wrong day. That’s 5, 5+1, 5Star etc.
Split movies are inconsistently handled - but that I mean a movie that has a 5 minute ‘news’ programme inserted into it. Some show up as two airings of the same file, others as one. The latter is much preferable. I have found all sorts of issues with split movies.
I have no idea where Plex get their Guide data, but it looks like it needs some work, even from the community.
Thanks. Really surprised that Tivo data is so poor, given the reach they have and the data sources they purport to collect.
I have discovered that the ‘five’ channels are out by one week. The Plex guide data showing for tomorrow is the programming for last Saturday. I have screenshots.
