Unable access Plex unless I use a VPN

iMac/MacBook pro, iPad, Sony Bravia and MyCloud Home

I was recently sent a new router (Sagemcom Fast 5364) by my isp TalkTalk) to hopefully increase my broadband speed.
Since setting up the new router Plex is unable to find the MyCloud Home device unless I switch on my VPN on my iMac or MacBook Pro.
Not a problem but, my Sony Bravia TV is unable to find the MyCloud Home and my VPN will not work on the TV.
So that leaves me unable to stream from my media library
My iPad will work perfectly without a vpn switched on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
