Hello! Upgraded from 1.41.0.8992 to 8994. Everything seems fine except when I attempt to view Photos/Videos in my Photos library, I receive an error message stating, “Something went wrong, an unexpected error occurred”. I thought it might be a browser caching issues, but the error occurs on other PCs. I can view all files using the timeline view. This problem occurs using the library view where I can view the initial folder and photo sub folder, but no contents containing photos/videos. Sometimes, if I F5 to reload the page, and enter my PIN, I can see the photos/videos.
Interestingly, the error doesn’t occur on my Android Plex App.
I attempted to re-scan the libraries and reinstall 8992, but no luck. Any advice?
I continue to work on this problem. I uninstalled Plex on Synology, installed the Windows version and moved my video/photo folders to Windows. I’m getting the same error! I did try an older version (1.29) of Synology Plex package on the NAS and it worked. Is there a problem with the latest Plex release?
Plex does not let me install this version as ist replies that the version is not compatible with my DSM which is DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 5. The most recent version works perfectly well for everything except for photos. May be I have to wait for the next version. Many thanks anyway.
Once you’ve upgraded to DSM 7.2.2, you cannot go back to any of the older versions which predate 7.2.2 (DSM 7.2.2 changed the internal format of all packages)
If you’re still on 7.2.1 U5, then you can install any version for your machine (WITHIN REASON) . If you’ve crossed over to 1.40.x, then the lowest you can safely go is 1.40.0 (massive DB change).

Which model and DSM version are we working with?
Alternatively, I might have a solution for that “Something went wrong problem”
