Not sure what happened, but I have lost all access to my server overnight. I’m using a Synology DS220+ and I have uninstalled and reinstalled Plex with no luck. I can still see a friend’s server that is shared with me. I am not able to access my server from other devices either, it’s like it just disappeared. I have also had a message saying “No soup for you. You don’t have access to this server” after a fresh install. Anyone have any ideas?
Are you accessing your new server through its local IP address from within your home network?
e.g. http://[Syno IP]:32400/web
Edit:
you should also upgrade your server. The subsequent releases had a lot of critical improvements for DSM.
You can find the latest public/beta releases on Plex’ download page and use the Manual Install option in the Syno’s app center.
Yes, I am accessing the server via it’s IP on home network, and I am already using an up-to-date version of Plex (Installer name - 1.25.3.5409-f11334058-x86_64_DSM7.) The server is up-to-date as well.
It’s like the entire server just disappeared on me and I can no longer access server settings in Plex, either. It was working perfectly fine, I went to sleep, and the next day it was gone. I am still completely unable to access my library after power cycling everything as well. Any other ideas?
There’s always the “I’ve locked myself out” procedure. Though not sure that’s going to help in your case. I suppose your server logs might help pinning this down.
