I’m running a Plex server on a 2020 MacBook Air 13-inch retina running on Intel and with the Sequoia 15.5 OS. Had a little trouble yesterday but y’all helped out right away - thanks and hoping for a repeat!
After having done so previously for a week with no trouble, I can’t add any music tracks to playlists. When I try, two error messages show up: “There was a problem updating this item.” and “Something went wrong. Make sure the server is available and try again.” I also can’t play any of the existing playlists.
The server is working perfectly well, all the tracks will play on Plex just fine, I rebuild the databases yesterday and they’re all working fine, and I can play music both on the server and from remote locations (phone, TV, etc.). So I’m not quite sure what’s happening.
The only other problem I’m encountering is that I added a bunch of music, movies, and TV shows earlier this week on a new hard drive, and despite adding it as a new library file, the music files are not showing up (there’s a few ‘phantom’ files in Recently Added with no metadata or track info or album art, and they won’t play). What’s even odder is that I can play the movies and TV stuff on the same hard drive just fine, and the drive shows up on my server with all the new music added, but none of it shows up in my Plex Music folder. Not sure if these two things are related.
