Unable to add Premium Music Library on QNAP

Hey Team - any ideas why my server isn’t allowing me the important ‘Options’ heading when adding a Music Library? I can’t select the premium option because it’s not being presented; it’s as if the PlexPass is being ignored.

Running Client Version 3.100.1 and Server Version 1.15.4.993 on a QNAP 128A

It’s not a networking issue; I have a Netgear ReadyNAS working correctly alongside it on an earlier Server version.

The TS-128A , and the entire ARMv8 family unfortunately, doesn’t have support for it yet.
This is because the supplier (Gracenote) doesn’t support ARMv8 processors yet.

Engineering saw this coming and started taking steps some time back.
I expect an announcement before too much longer.

Thanks - I will watch closely

For now, I’m surprised how happily the various clients cope with a multi-server setup - I’ll be setting up a new ReadyNAS Music-Only Plex Server for now.

Hi

I have QNAP 253B. And I am facing the same issue. When I try to create a Music Library, the Premium Music Library option is not presented.

I am running Plex Server version 1.16.0.1226.

I am sure I was able to create Premium Music Library in the past but wasn’t using Plex for several months as I was working on curating my music.

I am lifetime Plex Pass subscriber.

It seems you can no longer do this, have been discussing here:

Premium music libraries are changing. AFAIK, everyone should have received an email notification to this effect.

To copy the answer from there and close this thread.

“I fixed it by logout from my plex media server on my server PC and claimed it again.”

Plex changed its metadata provider (all this should be in the notification email)
Sign out / back in, updates the server.

PMS 1.16.1 and above will be required for Premium music.
