Unable to change library settings "Your Changes could not be saved"

By section i hope you meant Library.
And in the Logs directory there is no Zip file only .log files

  1. Yes, Create a library section.
    – errors will be recorded in your log files

  2. There won’t be a ZIP file there. I want you to grab all those files and put them in a ZIP file (reduces their combined size to about 4MB versus 60 MB without)
    – You can create a tar.gz as well… whichever you prefer

Should i delete all logs that are there. And then do the procedure with restarting and grabing? So i would get only the latest and correct logs?

Just grab it.

If it’s been too long (too much activity or uncertain) – Restart PMS , recreate, grab

I’ll find it easily enough

Here are the logs:
logs.zip (272.2 KB)

And here is my whole problem show on a vid for recap. chrome_zkzAwlc2it (Stream able link since the vid was to large)
The problem occures when switching from Plex Movie to Plex Moive Scanner and then trying to go back.

Found it immediately from the logs.

Apr 21, 2023 22:23:12.164 [0x7f34ba46cb38] WARN - [HttpClient/HCl#2d] HTTP error requesting GET https://192-168-1-15.bfa4556f2aff4294908c5e0dac208b20.plex.direct:32400 (60, SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name ‘192-168-1-15.bfa4556f2aff4294908c5e0dac208b20.plex.direct’)

Curl error 60 == Man-in-the-middle error.

There is a certificate in there somewhere which PMS is throwing a fit about.
It will not grant admin/owner rights if it can’t confirm you’re the owner.

where do you have an external certificate involved ?

Do you have a Proxy / FQDN in front of PMS ?

Nope, just access it from the server local IP 193.168.1.15:32400… i did not messed with some certificates… only thing I can think of I used to had Custom DNS server but that is unrelated afaik.

@DEPSTRCZ

There are 5 servers listed on your account.

Which server am I looking at?

The one shown in the video. Or if i understand the URL this should be some kind of id:
server/acc8e0bf1a25bc93ea280332f6b6e41b008681c0

What is the server’s Friendly name ? (The name you see it as)

Kino
But couple of previous instances were named like that

I do not understand here but let’s get serious

  1. Stop Plex
  2. do some command line work
sudo bash
cd "/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server"
rm Cache/cert-v2.p12
chown -R plex:plex .
  1. Now restart the server. It will get a new certficiate.
  2. Force-Start all player apps (this includes closing and reopening the web browser)
  3. Retest

Did nothing. Same issue

Grab me the logs. I want to see that it’s successfully downloaded a new certificate

logs.zip (320.9 KB)

It fetches the cert but doesn’t staple it (make active).

Then it goes into ‘422’

I am resetting your cert and account throttle.

please stand by

@DEPSTRCZ

I have:

  1. Removed the old inactive servers from your account (over 1 year old and not seen)
  2. Reset the certificate for “Kino”.

Please delete the ‘cert-v2.p12’ in the “Caches” directory

Start PMS.

Let’s see if it can come up clean this time.

I have deleted the cert. Also the dir is Cache not Caches

Issue is still there. Thanks for deleting the old servers.

Your server is clean.
I have , unfortunately, without hands on, No Clue what’s causing your problem.

All I can see is that Plex’s certificate is being intercepted and replaced by something else.

When PMS and Plex.tv cannot open a HTTPS connection – NOTHING will happen.

What’s between your server and the internet ? VPN?

Well basicly giant wall… I dont have any active portforwards afaik. So i cant acces it from the internet. Only from local so http
