There is only portforward for vpn. Then nothing else
Should i try reinstall my mechine?
After a full reinstall with fresh Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS
And only plex installed the same thing occurs.
grab tar.gz of the “Logs” directory and attach.
VPNs are evil but saving changes is as simple as authenticating with Plex.tv
Something is wrong in the config / routing.
Its just plex nothing else. No VPN just bare minimum.

I attached the whole Logs dir…
Also i stopped the plexmedia-server before i provided the logs.

It’s complaining that the new Scanner isn’t paired with the new Agent before saving the change.

Yeah i am attemping to change the agents. Just straight the same thing as from the start…

It won’t let you upgrade until the new C++ matching agent is active.

When the new scanner and agent were released, We were given the option to upgrade to the new scanner and agent.
If I understand correctly, that’s what you’re trying to do now.
Before assigning Plex Movie, the library itself must be upgraded from the Python to C++ layout.
I’ve asked for some help because I don’t remember how to manually upgrade it (been a while)
Getting kinda lost here… I am trying to switch back to the Plex Movie Agent.
It all started when I was experimenting with settings and trying to rearrange my Library. So, I changed the agent and was unhappy. So I wanted to switch back, and that’s when I created this post. And now it’s all about figuring out why I couldn’t switch it back.
I didn’t even know that some new agent or scanner had been released. I am just trying to switch back to Plex Movie.
Info about the install:
I reinstalled my mechine completly with new ubuntu 22.04LTS and the only thing i installed was plex. It is the Version 1.32.4.7195 i mounted my drive gave plex permission to use it and went through the plex setup and setuped my Library. It is all fresh basicly.
Now it’s making sense.

You already were using the new database schema for agent/scanner then changed. That’s why you don’t have an ‘upgrade metadata’ button.

I was thinking – Take the message literally
- It tries to set the scanner to Plex Movie HOWEVER the agent isn’t Plex Media YET!
- Change the timing.
- Change Agent to Plex Movie
- SAVE
- Change Scanner to Plex Movie
- SAVE
What do you get ?
you can set Agent to Plex Movie and save ?
but when you attempt to change Scanner, you still get the error ?
- changes work as transactions.
– The first transaction makes the agent “plex movie”
– When attempting to set scanner to Plex movie, it should find the Agent is already set
It might need a reload of the edit page.
This is screwy. There’s a bug here somewhere
I can’t save both. If I choose “Plex movie” in one of them or the other on it won’t save
