I think Im realizing now that this issue is more to do with the network on my local machine rather than Plex itself. Its the only one on my LAN that is having problems with Plex. If I were able to at least sign in and claim the server back, I could still use the server on every machine. So now the issue is with me not being able to connect properly to plex on my server, to then claim my server as my own. Not sure what exactly could cause this.
Changes to my DNS, enabling/disabling PiHole, doing DNS flush, etc. all have done nothing.
@vcohodar I’ve been having the same problem. The issue only exists on the local host and the fact that we can’t log into the plex.tv website itself is driving me crazy.
Ive at least narrowed it down now. Im almost 100% certain that its an issue with the network on my local machine that the server is installed on.
Considering Plex and all these connections dont have any issues on any other machine on my network, it has to be the local host, and not Plex itself at fault.
At this point im pissed that I disassociated the server, as now I cant claim it back. I could have at least used it fully before I did that.
Thanks for the heads up on those. Ill comment in there as well, hopefully the more people add their input, the closer we get to an actual solution apart form reinstalling windows.
I had the same problem with logging in on Linux for over a week. Turned out I had an old IP address for plex.tv in my hosts file. Deleted the entry and restarted the server and refreshed the page and all is well again.
