Unable to claim server

PMS stopped working for some reason. I stopped the PMS server on my TNAS. Once I did so I renamed the preferences.xml file and restarted PMS
After doing so I logged into Plex Web and now see my server again. When I click on the claim server file, it spins for a few seconds and then just comes back to the same status. Any idea why I can’t reclaim my server?

I figured out a way to get this resolved. I was reading through some of the articles posted here which suggested changing the DNS to Google (8.8.8.8). Once I did so, I was able to claim my server back.

Not surprised, DNS can be an issue with Clients as well.
