Unable to connect - again!

Player Version#:2.012

Once again my samsung tv app can not connect to to my server running on my pc

This happens way too often and it seems always when there is an update and I haven’t used plex for awhile

please help

UPDATE:

After searching for a few hours I found a solution that seems to work. For anyone else having this issue with an older Samsung this is what worked for me:

  1. on your PC, go to your plex via web browser, then go to settings and remove the Samsung TV as an authorized device.
  2. On the Samsung TV, if you can go to the plex app and then settings > advanced > reset app. This did not work for me so I had to go on the Samsung TV, DELETE the Plex App then re-download it
  3. You should now get the prompt to go to the plex.tv/link url and re-add the TV as an Authorized Device
