DataVol1 (CACHEDEV1) doesn’t see Plex installed.
It’s as if the scripts are there (.qpkg) but the actual program files are missing.

Without uninstalling, ReInstall (Manual Install) the qpkg file again (on top of existing)
the same thing is happening with my QNap and PMS for the last 3 days it keeps offering for me to redownload the server but when i do it give no options to add my media and make my folders again just says i should download a server…let me know if your able to find a fix thanks ive tried everything
They seem to respond a lot quicker than they did in the past here in the forums. So stay tuned, I suppose lol.
Uninstall on QNAP ---- DELETES THE SERVER
You must go to plex.tv and REMOVE the old server
https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms
Now install the QPKG again
Open a PRIVATE browser window
Open http://LAN.IP.of.QNAP:32400/web
Now Claim and start setup of a NEW server instance.
This happens because of how QNAP wants package’s data stored.
All packages follow the general structure:
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Package_Name
Plex must live within that constraint and therefore uses:
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex Media Server
( All server internal files & metadata are stored below ‘Plex Media Server’)
These are a LAN network problem.
sorry for the delayed respnse, I had to fix a connection issue I had with my nas. now plex connects most times at home, but it’s inconsistent when i’m away.
