Exactly the same problem here. I have android, web, ps4, all clients work and can connect EXCEPT ps3. My server cannot connect remotely (but that is somewhat by design).
So is the ps3 the only one that requires actual remote connectivity??
I just ran into the same error screen last night. Worked for months until recently. Well, worked is a strong term. Plex has been problematic on the PS3 for months. We have a wired network for most of the house and then power line networking to get from the main area down into the basement where the PS3 is located. WD TV Live device works fine over this connection streaming the same content from Plex. PS3 streams other content off of the internet fine (ie Netflix, Hulu, etc.) I thought, until recently, that it was the power line networking.
On a side note I just added an option to my DNS-Masq DHCP options from this page https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/206225077-How-to-Use-Secure-Server-Connections two days ago. It’s possible this is the culprit. I just need to check/try it when I get home. I will follow up after I know more.

DNS-Masq is only required for HTTPS connections to media server, which PS3 doesn’t not support. so having DNS-Masq should not effect PS3, if you find that it does please let us know.
