"Unable to connect to the content server" ONLY happening in Samsung TV with a specific show/season

This is the problem: Inside No. 9 show, season 5, shows this error on the Samsung SmartTV, but not when playing the chapter locally in the computer.

Steps that I’ve tried to fix the problem:

  • I replaced the media files with a totally different set of files that were converted with HandBrake from 1080p to 720p as I usually do with many TV shows, and I’m still getting this error.

  • I tried to play the episodes under different streaming options like direct, auto, all available options.

  • After replacing the media files with the new set, I regenerated meta info, analized the season, etc. Nothing works.

Any ideas? Files play with no problem locally in any video player included Plex for Windows. The problem is happening only when I try to play this specific season in the Smart TV. All other shows, seasons and movies are playing with no issues.

I have the same issue. Sometimes a video would play the first time, but then from then next try and after it says “Unable to connect to the content server”
The same video plays just fine on a smartphone or windows web Plex interface…
The video is of a lower resolution and same audio codec as some other content that streams ok.
I use Synology and a Samsung TV.
