Unable to connect to updated Plex install on a DS216+

recently updated the Plex install on my NAS. Now i can’t seem to connect to it.
Even internally on my network using my nas IP address i can login to Plex in general but it will say my server is unavalable/unreachable or will not list it at all. (I have Plex on a windows pc as well that connects and shows on my list.)
in DSM the app/service is running but no worky.

remove the current version.
re-install the previous.
your library is safe during this operation.

Also stop the docker containers from running until you have control again.

ok, where do i download the previous version. the webpage keeps offering me the one i have now.

I found an install for PlexMediaServer-1.13.5.5332-21ab172de-x86_64.spk.
i have removed and reinstalled this version and seems to be working now.

Nope. it’s missing again. Says unavailable on the plex page
removed from server list to repopulated once i restart it, and it hasn’t come back.

Ok, let’s do this MY way (I will beat it into submission haha)

  1. Open the Plex share in FileStation
  2. Navigate Plex / Library / Application Support / Plex Media Server
  3. Right-click Logs
  4. Compress to Logs.zip
  5. Attach the ZIP file it presents you.
  6. I will find out what it’s whining about and help you slap it silly :smiley:
