Unable to detect Plex Media Server on Synology NAS

Server Version#: 1.25.8.5663-7000
Player Version#:

Recently my ISP changed my router which made my Plex Media Server undetectable. When I click the URL from the Package Center in Synology it will bring up a pop up that says "This application is at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and is not hosted by Plex. Continue only if you recognize this server and wish to grant access.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall with a claim token, but the installation fails. I have also tried resetting my claim token by changing my Plex account password.

Could some one help me out here please?

Warmest Regards,
Leon

I managed to get a clean install done. But from the Plex Web Interface, it says “This server is unclaimed an not secure. Claiming this server will associate it with your Plex account. This helps your devices find each other and helps keep your media safe.”

I click on the “Claim Server” button beside it, but nothing happens. It just shows a spinning indicator and after a while it goes back to showing “Claim Server”

@purity82

If the server can’t claim , it’s usually a situation where the network (LAN) configuration has a problem.

Would you please do the following:

  1. Stop Plex
  2. Using Filestation
    a. Navigate into PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server
    b. Right-Click LogsCompress to Logs.zip
    c. Download the resultant ZIP file
  3. Attach the ZIP file here.

we’ll look at that zip file to see what PMS doesn’t like.

Thanks for the quick reply! Here are the log files for your assistance:

Hi @ChuckPa , was the team able to find out what is going wrong with my Plex Media Server? I feel its an IP issue but I do not know how to fix it.
