Unable to Disable Direct Play on Android TV Devices

Is there any way to disable direct play on Android TV devices? With the old player there used to be options for Direct Stream and Direct Play. It was nice to be able to leave direct stream enabled and disable direct play. It typically fixed the issue where Plex would want to send a file with lossless DTS-HD to a Fire TV stick or cube that is not actually capable of processing that audio. Direct Stream without Direct Play would previously result in sending untouched video but re-encoded audio that played perfectly.
