I am really hoping for some help.
My original iPad Air running iOS 12.5.5 is unable to download content.
As an example, I can select a movie, click download, it appears in the list of movies to download section, Items.
It then states downloading, and I can see my server trying to transcode the item. But as far as I can tell once this transcode has happened nothing transfers over to the iPad.
I have tried the direct download option (no transcoding) and still no files ever actually make it to the iPad.
Im stumped. Tried other things like remove app, restart iPad, reinstall app.
My newer 2021 iPad has no such issues, so im fairly sure im doing the procedure correctly but something is not right for this specific iPad.
I can’t download anything on my iPad either. And in my case it is worse, it does not even show up in the list of downloads. It is like the download button does nothing.
@aliriddle, it looks like this is most likely the known DNS Rebind Protection issue with iOS devices. You can find more information and workarounds in “#4” on our Update on new Downloads feature post.
I am having a different issue however. For bigger downloads, sometimes the app stops downloading and then starts again from scratch, repeating 2, 3 or 4 times the process.
To add a little more detail, it’s a similar issue as to before.
The transcode starts, takes a few minutes to get to 100% done as seen on the server, but then once transcode appears to have completed, error message appears on the iPad screen. It’s happening for multiple downloads.
Further Update:
It seems to be the same issue with all new added files.
