Unable to fetch guide settings

I have had HDHomeRun tuner working with plex for about a year now. Today I realized that my guide data is gone. Refreshing did nothing. So i decided to remove tuner and reinstall, during install after I select country->United States, it gives me an option to enter zip code, I do that, but it tells me Unable to fetch guide settings. I do have PMS Pass, so it should work. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

Same issue here. I put in zip codes from cities all over the country and get the same error over and over. Here’s a NYC zip. What’s broke?

mine is doing something similar but gets past the zip code - shows the channels and has now been sitting spinning wheels for almost 3 hours… My hdhomerun is working fine also - I can view the channels thru the hdhomerun app just fine on my Amazon Fire TV but it is not working on Plex app on pc or Plex app on Amazon Fire TV

I’m having the same problem, stuck at “Unable to fetch Guide settings” and need to record something today.

I have gotten tired of this. I paid for a month of Emby Premium and installed the server and clients and was back to watching TV in under an hour. If this works for the next couple of months I think I might just have to abandon Plex.

I able to scan the channels - get the channel names even enter my zip code but then its stuck after hitting continue after zip.

I have the same issue, and I agree. Only reason I am still using Plex this long is because Emby hasn’t been able to release an app for the older Samsung TVs. But Emby DLNA works great so I just should make the move too.

Lifetime Plexpass was a mistake for me. I have never seen a product ‘evolve’ so much, and have so many issues popping up all the time. The forum is loaded with TV guide issues, we should not be discussing this anymore.

Yeah I need to put the axe in Plex and be done with it. Emby product is not perfect, but its way less buggy and the support team is night and day better then Plex.

Sorry Plex folks, I loved you at first but it soon became clear that there are a fair few reasons for me to call it quits on you.

I got what a expected as a response from support. I’m done with Plex.

root@mediamachine:/usr/home # service plexmediaserver stop

I uninstalled plex server - installed 1.15 version then upgraded to the newest - deleted dvr/tuner readded the dvr/tuner and it works fine now.

I had the exact same problem. Was running server version 1.14. Upgraded to 1.16, deleted HDHomerun DVR, reinstalled the DVR and now it works fine. Didn’t need to uninstall the server.
