Unable to FF or Rewind while watching recording in progress once it reaches end of scheduled airing time

I record NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt every night. It is scheduled to air at 5:30 pm central time and I have it set to record an extra 30 minutes so that it also picks up the local news broadcast which follows.

NBC Nightly News ends at 6:00 pm.

If I go to the guide to watch the recording in progess, I get prompted to watch from the beginning which does not work exactly (another problem that was fixed, but is now broken again). The show does not start from the beginning, but goes live. Fortunately, I can take it back to the beginning using the slider bar or rewinding it.

The problem that I am reporting is that I can fast forward or rewind the show until the shows scheduled ending airtime which is 6:00 pm. At that point, I lose the ability to rewind or fast foward and have to sit through the commericals.

This problem is not limited to NBC Nightly News. It occurs when watching any show that is being recorded and choosing to watch from the beginning.

I have the exact same problem, except mine starts from beginning without any problems. Once the scheduled time has elapsed, fast forwarding will simply jump to where you were at the time the show was supposed to end.
