Unable to install Media Server since I upgraded my QNAP firmware to QTS 5.0

Since I updated my QNAP firmware to QTS 5.0.0.1716 build 20210701 (2nd July 2021), and more recently to QTS 5.0.0.1785 build 20210908, I have not been able to install my Plex Media Server. Please see the screenshot below for the error message.

It’s been three months since the issue first surfaced, has Plex managed to find a solution for that yet?

Why are you attempting to install an EXE on QTS?

That’s not even a valid Plex Media Server version.

Easy to fix. Restart the NAS and install Plex.
