Hi, My mistake, with dmg, I just meant the install file, or whatever you call it. After the zip file has expanded, I drag the media server app file into Applications. OK. Not seeing the Plex menu icon o the top right after clicking the app in the app folder.

Is the Server creating any new logs? https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/#toc-1 I am wondering if it it crashing immediately or not launching at all.

No logs or even a Plex folder in the logs folder. My guess is that it’s not launching at all.

In system preferences under Security and Privacy. what is “Allow apps downloaded from” set to?

I just upgraded from High Sierra to Catalina, problem solved. Guessing issue was related to OS. Install went smooth on new OS. Thanks.
