Can't reach PMS on Synology DS218+

Server Version#: 1.15.2.793-782228f99
Player Version#: 3.83.1

Hello
after updating the server to version 1.15.2.793-782228f99, i couldn’t reach the server anymore.
So i reinstalled this server version, but it still didn’t work.
I deleted the PLEX user und the common folder. → didn’t help
So i installed the older version 1.13.4.5271 but it doesn’t work either.
Now i have no clue what to do.

I would be very thankfull when someone could help me.

Thanks a lot

Hey
Thanks for your answer.
I followed all these steps (i also deleted preferences) but it still doesn’t work.

Maybe i am too silly to run the .\claimpm.sh in the right way.

login as: Matthias
Matthias@192.168.1.100’s password:
Matthias@Multimedia:~$ sudo -su root
Password:
sh-4.3# cd "\Volume 1\familie

.\claimpms.sh

But then there doesn’t happen anything?!

If I may add to trumpy’s post,

Some systems are stubborn:

  1. Sign out of the Plex/Web app (upper right corner
  2. Open an incognito window
  3. In that new window: http://ip.addr.of.syno:32400/web

Presuming you are on an RFC1918 compliant LAN (should be), it will load the Plex/Web app.
Sign it in again there and proceed forward.

Start the setup wizard again, doing a normal setup except Do Not Create new library sections. Your original will be waiting for you at the dashboard so SKIP the creation steps.

Once all signed back in, you will be again able to find the server normally.

I will try this right now.

I signed out and opened a incognito windows in chrome.
then i opened : http://192.168.1.100:32400/web
But it still comes this picture

And of course, the Server Version is now 1.15.3.835-5d4a5c895

when trying to resolve and make it work, changing versions mid stream isn’t advisable.
Your browser is looking for the old version. we need to clear it

  1. Stop Plex
  2. Delete the preferences.
  3. start Plex
  4. Clear your browser history of today
  5. Now open incognito window
  6. In that window, http://192.168.1.100:32400/web (or just click this link)
  7. If you do not see a sign-in, show me what you do see

I followed your steps.

There was a sign-ign (picture)
I logged in with my email
And then there is picture 2

Ok i am too silly to do it right.

If i type: sh-4.3# cd “/Volume 1/Familie”

the answer is:

sh: cd: /Volume 1/Familie: No such file or directory

cd "/volume1/Familie"

There is no space and it is case sensitive.

I am using this on a Synology DS218+

I will pointout… spaces are important in Linux

ls /volume1

is what I was hoping for.

I will let trumpy take over.
