Unable to log into plex.tv or the forums.plex.tv sites in iOS browsers on iPad

iOS: 15.6.1

I have recently restored my iPad and now in both of my Chrome or Safari browsers (either in regular or incognito modes) I am unable to log into the sites https://www.plex.tv (Google login just spins) or to https://forums.plex.tv (which gives a “forum user not found” error).

  • I have cleared all the cache/cookies but still the same issues
  • I have reset my network settings on my device but still the same issues

Chrome on my desktop computer continues to work but I am a little hesitant to actually log out to try it there just in case I cannot get back in to post. Also, my Google account is working on other sites/apps without issues.

Any ideas on what to try next?

Edit:
I just tried via email and 2FA and even though I get an email saying that a new device has logged into plex, I am brought right back to the login options. Checking another tab for the forums only shows the log in button again :frowning:

In order to test this further, I erased the iPad (without a restore) I then tried to log into the sites and was able to. It did initially prompt me that I was logged out and needed to log back in (which I did with my Google auth) and the process completed as expected.

I then restored the device completely and I am still able to log in successfully :slight_smile:

Even though when this was an issue and I had nuked all the cache in my browsers something must have been funky somewhere :man_shrugging:
