Yes, sorry, that was the first thing I did! I manually updated and made sure I have the most recent version, THEN I reinstalled all the TV apps. I’ll try again.
I also checked all the setting on the PMS and the apps (allow Fallback to Insecure Connections, etc.)
I am also having issues. I have sony android tv which is unable to play media. Plex plays on all other devices. I see people are able to update media servers however I am unable to do that due to media server is running on old iMac 2007 which won’t run on new software. Any one have any recommendations as I don’t want to use newer computer as this is basically dedicated to running plex and Apple has slowed it down enough as it is
All TVs work now - Updated the PMS, updated all the TV apps, rebooted everything (Server, TVs, routers). Hope it works for everyone. Thanks for the help!
So you’re not able to update the Plex Media Server software? What version do you have installed now?
I am using 1.13.5.5291. I can’t remember if I had to use an older media server for my old iMac 2007 or older media player for my old macbook pro. One of them wasn’t compatible with the new software. Cheers in advance! Any assistance much appreciated
Answered my own question. I updated Plex Media Server on my Mac/PC as opposed to the Plex app on the Sony Android TV.
This solved the problem for me.

i am running El Capitan 10.11.6
There support article lists Mountain Lion (10.8) as the newest OS that has any limitations for PMS…
So I updated the plex media server and it is all working again. Thanks heaps for the assistance. Really appreciated.
I’m on a older version of pms because the newer ones weren’t supported by my version of xpenology. I’ve held off trying to update xpenology as I’m worried I’ll lose all my media…
