Unable to play media for shared library

Hi,

I am sharing some media libraries with a friend. He doesnt have a plex pass. He is able to view shared libraries but is unable to play movies on his nvidia shield device. The error message received is “Unable to play media”

On the other hand, TV shows are not a problem and can be played.
