I have a series where a few seasons show up properly when searching for the TV Show, but the other seasons do not show up at all.
Each of the Season folders and all of the episodes follow the same naming format.
When searching for where these additional seasons were, I was able to find each of the episodes by going to the TV Shows library, then using the Unmatched filter.
When I tried to click into any one episode, the UI spins but ultimately never loads for that specific episode.
When I removed the folder from the TV Show library completely, rescanned the library and then attempted to Empty Trash, the episodes remained in the Unmatched filter. Additionally, the seasons that were originally searchable from the UI, were still searchable, so they weren’t removed.
I checked the Plex Media Server Logs, and I can see the same entry being recorded thousands of times: Updating deletion state for metadata item 277926, is has a dead item count of 1.
I can see (by looking in the metadata_items DB table) that this metadata item does correspond to the same TV Show.
I tried running the latest DBRepair utility as well, and it didn’t report any problems (though it has in the past).
Are there any additional steps I can take to try and resolve this seemingly bad series and metadata entry without completely deleting the Library so I don’t lose all the Video Preview Thumbnails, Intro Detection and Credit Detection?
