I unmatched tv season A.P. Bio season 01 because there was also a season 3 being shown. After I unmatched it, it disappeared from view. I tried to view under UNMATCHED VIEW, but it was not there. I rescaned library, but still nowhere to be found.
Somehow I find a FOLDERS view and I can not only see the season 01 unmatched, but season 02 that was not found anywhere in the system. This option has no option to restore the folder or files.
You cannot unmatch or match single seasons.
unmatch or match always means the whole show, including all seasons and episodes.
If you encounter matching errors, 95% of these cases are caused by improper naming of the files.
Make sure you are 100% conforming to the guidelines https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/
and these kind of issues will largely be gone.
If you need further assistance, please share your folder names and file names.
Since both seasons 1 and 3 were displayed at the same time, the program did allow me to unmatch season 1.which was removed rom viewing
Edit your tv shows library
go to the “Add Folders” tab
How many and which folder paths do you see there?
Do also show the folder names and file names you are using for this show.
I show 8 folder paths, each on a different external drive.
A.P. Bio season 3 has for example: V:\Videos\TV\A. P. Bio\Season 03\A.P. Bio_s03e01 Tiny Problems.mp4
Season 3 is still being displayed
Do you have more than one “tv shows” library?
Are the files for seasons 1 and 2 stored inside V:\Videos\TV\A. P. Bio\?
Did you verify embedded meta tags in your mp4 files?
Is “Prefer local metadata” in the properties of this library checked or unchecked?
Have you tried the Plex Dance with the whole “A. P. Bio” show?
