Unable to reset password

I created a new Plex account to share my library with some family members. I was able to login with the username/email address and password combination that I set up to accept the sharing request, but when I try to login to the new account now, I get the message that the username or password is incorrect and when I try to reset the password, I do not receive the email in the email box of the new account.
I did notice that the password that I created yesterday (9 characters) did not meet the 10 character minimum, but was accepted yesterday when I created the account.
