for the last week plex has been popping up hey update available, and i press update and it doesn’t do anything. when i click Download Updates, it flips to Install Updates. when i click Install Updates it changes to “The server is installing an update, grab a cup of tea this may take a couple minutes”
Okay, sounds about right. done this a dozen times before, but this time it just stops right here. ive tried updating several times, leaving it for hours at a time, and every time i get an hour or so in and refresh the page.
this last time, I watched taskviewer and it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. none of the plex stuff closes or even registers a difference in usage. none of the plex files are ever changed
Howdy Liestenn, I had the same problem a few Versions ago…if you know how to GO BACK a Version or 2 and have them saved in your Downloads then try that…Go back like 2 versions …once its installed and working try to go to the New Version you are trying to update to now…if this is too much for you then You may have to wait for the fix…i had mine 5 versions back from current because it would not allow all features to work so …if you want to try what i said good luck if not wait for next version…there is a Beta out now in public testing so might be a new one for public soon if you would rather just wait…Anyway good luck either way Cow }:-o)

Cannot install the latest version v1.13.8.5395 on my WD MyCloud PR4100…
I can download the .bin file fine, but when I try to install it, it just hangs forever saying ‘Updating’…
I’ve installed probably 20-30 updates over the past couple of years and have NEVER had an issue until this one…
