Unable to upload/change/add new artwork & not displaying

Server Version#: 4.8.3
Player Version#: 1.4.0.924-60046db9

No issues until I updated the desktop app this morning. Since the update… I am unable to upload/change/add new artwork. (edit) Workaround… I can add new artwork with drag/drop method only.

The background artwork is not displaying for any movie/tv show for Windows Desktop App only. Artwork still displays properly on Android App and Server PC.

I have tried:
Restarting the server.
Reinstalling the desktop app.
Deleting Caches

Anyone have the previous version (download link) from yesterday…prior to this morning’s release?

(edit) After scouring the earth and the internet… I finally found the previous install version. Rolling back the PMP Windows Desktop App worked. However, the built in auto-updater force installed the newer version and I’m back to square one.

Giving up and going back to Plex Media Player as the functionality is fine for this issue in PMP.

Artwork still missing from Windows Desktop App (and) Web browser… as indicated by the image above.

Also… still cannot use the ‘choose file’ option when adding artwork.

My issue is not TVDB V3 (am using Plex only for music). The issue I have is that described by @Jedi - and this only relates to the Plex App (Windows), namely, I am unable to upload/change/add new artwork (all music - both poster and other artwork) although I can add new artwork with drag/drop method (only).

Same issue here too. plex no longer showing artwork as in the OP.
This is in librarys not using tvdb.

Yeah this is a player issue I believe… not TVDB issue. I rolled the desktop app back and the everything seemed to work as intended. After updating again… the issue immediately reappeared.

Today, I’ve updated the player and server. Artwork still missing. It’s also missing from Web portal. The ONLY place the artwork is visible is opening the server app on the server itself.

Have you updated to version 1.5 just released today?

On the Mac app, I am able to change Poster art and Background art from an already available selection (though the latter doesn’t show up). I haven’t tried via URL.

Yes; thanks - updated and experiencing same issue. Drag and drop works., however. This is the Windows player.

Yes, sorry, I misunderstood; have chatted with the dev and the upload should work in the next release, a preview of v1.6 should be out “soon”; the background art can be toggle on/off here:
