I have tried adding png or jpg to tv shows or movies, using url, select file or drag drop. It is always returning 'there was an error uploading this artwork'
Now, stuff that already has artwork, shows fine, but...if I go into edit, no artwork shows in the selection boxes for tv or movies or music
It used to show all the items that you had found, and I can select from them, now, although they show as the thumbnails in the show/movie selection screen, they do not show in the edit artwork screens.
This worked LAST NIGHT, and I made no changes. Nothing except your 4/30 'upgrade' behind the scenes.
It looks like there is a compatibility issue with older servers. I tested against 0.9.12.0 and it seems to be ok there. We'll work on releasing a fix for this as quickly as possible.

I have same problem, after PlexWeb is updated to 2.4.0
Can't edit Poster or Background, but the movie have a Poster and Background.
Have tryed to update PlexWeb from 2.4.0 (PlexWeb says there was a update) but it's still 2.4.0 (weird) :-)

Was working fine 2 days ago, can't remember when I last ran the Update, but think it was last weekend? There are no new updates showing on the DiskStation....
I have the same problem! PMS 1.3.3.3148 and Web 2.12.5. Manually adding artwork, both poster and background, results in “there was an error uploading this artwork”.
I just upgraded to 2.12.8, Version 1.3.3.3148 and am having the same problem… Can’t manually add poster or background, receiving the same error message. Didn’t have this problem before the upgrade
OK so I resolved my issue, my image was not uploaded because it exceeded a 10mb file limit, which I didn’t know existed. Anyway, uploading a smaller photo resolved the issue.
I am having the same issue as Troy Brisbin. I have just updated Plex to Version 1.15.4.993 and I am not able to manually add any artwork, as well as when I go to select a new Poster, there is nothing shown. I have one item which won’t load a poster at all, even though it did before.
This is probably a general problem, as this seems to be affecting people with different versions. I chose not to update to the recent version 1.15.4.993, and I can not update posters or backgrounds, as of today, though I am still on version 1.15.3.858.
I’ve having the same issue intermittently. Also no metadata downloading for new items. It matches properly, but nothing else comes down. Anyone else experiencing similar?
I just noticed that I am having the same issue after updating to 1.15.4.993 yesterday. No artwork shows available. I have added quite a bit in the last few days and it was working until the update.
