I have searched the forum and cannot find a solution to this problem. I have two servers on my Plex account. One is a Windows PC the other is a Mac Pro. I have a Roku streamer on one TV and the Plex app on the Roku is able to see all the content on both the PC and Mac servers. I have an Apple TV attached to another TV and it is unable to connect to the Mac server. When forst signing in to the Plex app on the Apple TV I am asked to choose between the PC server and the Mac server. However, the Mac Pro is showing as unauthorized. What can I do to get it authorized?
UPDATE to the above post. I have been trying to connect to the Mac server for over a week and posted the above entry to try to resolve the issue. Just for the hell of it, after posting, I tried signing in again and this time I was able to connect! AFAIK I have been following the exact same steps each time I signed in. Anyone able to suggest why it did not work before and now does, so that I can troubleshoot it if it occurs again?
Signing in on the Apple TV? The only thing I can think of off-hand is an expired token and force closing, explicitly signing out or restarting device should have forced it to get a new one.
Looking at the app logs for errors is the only real way to get particular info.
Thanks @BigWheel . I will keep a lookout.
