Unauthorized when trying to add media server to Plex

Server Version#: 1.42.2.10156
Player Version#:

I have a problem with adding QNAP server to Plex. When I enter endpoint http://myqnapip:32400/web/index.html#!/setup/MymachineID I see page Unauthorized. I was trying procedure from this link https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/ but in my Preferences.xml file there is no entries like “PlexOnlineHome”, “PlexOnlineMail” etc. Could somebody help me ?

Where did you take these additional URI parameters from?

And maybe Qnap faq.....read me first! - #7 by ChuckPa

I can find machineID in endpoint http://myqnapip:32400/identity or directly in Preferences.xml

I also read FAQ and my Preferences.xml looks lik this:

<Preferences IPNetworkType="dualstack" _80864e618086221200000002.0-TranscodeCountLimit="0" OldestPreviousVersion="1.42.2.10156-f737b826c" MachineIdentifier="87c3aa3d-aef1-4c72-8fb1-e16a5ab17c6f" ProcessedMachineIdentifier="642a14303b1629886e85260eba3a84ca35b31480" AnonymousMachineIdentifier="08619960-539b-4d5f-aa34-e19c51e602a8" MetricsEpoch="1" GlobalMusicVideoPathMigrated="1"/>

There is no parameters

  • PlexOnlineUsername

  • PlexOnlineToken

  • PlexOnlineMail

  • PlexOnlineHome

This means the machine is completely unclaimed.

Open an incognito browser to the http://lan.ip.of.qnap:32400/web and claim it that way
