Unavailable

Hi all
I have 534 films on my WC my cloud home server but 427 are unavailable although plex can find them , when I try to watch any of them plex is saying can’t connect to server, there is nothing wrong with files as I can watch any of them via another media player but as I have plex on TV I want to sort this out any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance Dell

you need to break this down a little…
you have 534 movies stored on your MyCloud
all of them are added to Plex, but 427 of them are not available. – how do you see they’re not available? do they show a red warning band saying the file is not available or a trash can?

did you at any point change anything about the path connected to the Plex library after the initial setup of Plex?

Hi tom80H
When I click on a film I get the red unavailable, when I click on that the file path was wrong,so I removed films and movies folder added them again and scanned, file paths seem to be correct now and films seem to be working okay.
I had changed the file names as the 427 film names was mostly gobaldygook.
So if I can’t change file names by WD My Cloud Home app or on Mac or PC is it possible to do it through plex or is there any other way ?
Many thanks for your reply Dell

after changing the file names, re-scanning the library files should be enough to re-connect your library with the file system.
