Quite recently, I started seeing the “unexpected runtime error” on both of my Android phone (Pixel 7) and also Android TV. The web player works fine as does my iPhonr. Likewise the LG TV Plex client works fine.
On my Pixel phone I get this error on some movies with 480i or 480p. Other 4K or 1080p work fine. As I mentioned, all of these files play just fine on my non Android devices.
I saw a couple of forums posts on this as well as on reddit and it all dates back to a few weeks ago. This presumably is when the clients were updated. I couldn’t find a way to contact Plex’s tech support which is frustrating and I now regret subscribing.
Aside from side-loading older versions, if anyone can assist I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
